Our story

Rooted in love, growing since 2001

It began in February 2001, when Chaya opened Hugh’s Haven, a charity day-care centre in Yeoville. It grew from 14 children to more than 180, and over 400 little ones passed through its doors. In 2013, nine abandoned children were left in our care, and the centre became the children’s home we are today.

Now we care for 19 children as individuals, never as statistics: three cooked meals and two snacks a day, every medical need looked after, and school from 9am to 4pm. Our aim is simple: to raise well-balanced, responsible and loving young adults who break the cycle of poverty and abuse.
